Mario Kart Wii

Mario Kart Wii with Wii Wheel

by Nintendo
Platform:   Nintendo Wii
ESRB Rating:  Everyone
Release: Apr 27, 2008

The developers did a great job, both newcomers as well as Mario Kart inveterate gamblers to inspire.
The graphics has improved only slightly compared to the previous Mario Kart Double Dash on the GCB, but there is anyway no time to enjoy the surroundings as you always keep the road and the opponent in the eye.
That the game is still a bit aktiongeladener than its predecessor (which was topped really hard to become), the music is very versatile and adapts to the increasingly great distances. There are 32 routes, of which 16 have appeared on

other platforms, Nintendo (SNES, N64, NGC, DS). But they have been reviewed in some places. The new routes are very successful and rich detail have been developed. The selection of the old route is also very well put together.

The lines are driven with either karts or bikes, but the driving experience of the two is quite different. You can choose from dozens of characters and then between some karts or bikes (characteristics of each machine are always) there.

For some who have previously not played a Mario Kart older:
Mario Kart is a racing game, which is important to master the one hand, with skillful maneuvers, the routes, even if the control is not complicated. On the other hand you have to shoot the enemies always make it difficult to lying around on the line items (with turtle shells, banana basket and much more in the way.).
To the steering control has been used to a few lines. There are different speeds, where you can leave the tracks (the faster, the more difficult). Beginners, as well as the Mario Kart veterans will be required for proper balance with numerous game modes.

Even though many new features to increase and the increased number of the long-range game play for solo drivers, so the game is true only in the long run to several fun. But now, because you can race against rivals on the Internet, this problem should be largely solved.

The most significant improvements / changes compared to its predecessors:
You can (not) now also to 3 and to 4 take the routes computer opponents (which is retained even under the Versus mode, but you can adjust the settings so that they are so much like a Grand Prix). However, you can not play for two Grand Prix, which is why you have to unlock everything yourself.
Finally, are now available in Battle mode CPU's here, but now only team Matche possible (always 6 to 6). Again, there are 5 new and 5 existing sites, where it again makes huge fun, kloppen themselves.

Personally, I prefer to drive with the GCB controller because I've just recorded with him too much. The control system has been changed slightly compared to the Gamecube version, but it is nevertheless very quickly now.
There are a few new fun items, old items are used again like in the N64 version (3 Tanks surround the player, individual bananas / Tanks can also be back as a shield to keep the rear).

The "Red E" (or in the GCB: the "blue power") has changed, unfortunately something: you now get just by skidding a turbo boost if you long enough slides without interruption (the more you take corners more closely, the faster we can use the boost). get used to it you will probably only slightly. However, have now been added stunts, However this one can make when you jump from one opportunity or reached at a half-pipe to the highest point. It not only looks cool, and bringing more dynamism to the game, but this one also gets an extra turbo boost, thereby changing the "red-e" s was compensated for the most part (the new routes have been made that in almost every Route numerous stunts are executed).
By bike you can do a wheelie, which also provides for a faster drive. So there is again plenty of ways to use to differentiate themselves from their opponents by these possible relapses.

Conclusion: Who is looking for a professional, realistic racing game is out of place. All others can access without hesitation. This game is clearly the best of the recent racing games released for the Wii and is also generally the best Wii games.

Even for those who are already in possession of the N64 and GCB versions, it's worth buying anyway. At the innovations it has quickly become accustomed. The game will be like the old Mario Kart games inspire a long time ...
